aussi or non plus?

One agrees with a yes. The other agrees with a no.

The rule

aussi agrees with a POSITIVE: moi aussi. non plus agrees with a NEGATIVE: moi non plus. Reaching for aussi after a negative makes you agree with the opposite of what was said, which is a small disaster in a conversation.
