Les disparus designe les personnes portees disparues ou les victimes d'un accident dont le corps n'a pas ete retrouve.

Disparaitre dans la nature signifie fuir sans laisser de traces. Faire disparaitre (to make disappear, to get rid of) s'emploie au sens propre et figure. Le contraire est reapparaitre (to reappear) ou etre retrouve (to be found).
