answers "how?" and points at manner, and because Latin has no plain word for "yes", and are among the standard ways of saying it. Its correlative is : ... gives "so, in such a way, that", and the clause after takes a subjunctive when it states a result. covers nearly the same ground; the working distinction is that tends to look back at something just said while describes the manner of the action. No case is involved.
