Pervenio, pervenire, perveni, perventum is fourth conjugation, per plus venio, and the per- carries its full weight: not just coming but coming all the way through to the end. It is intransitive, so the destination goes in a prepositional phrase, ad plus the accusative or in plus the accusative, never as a direct object. Ad urbem pervenit; never urbem pervenit.
The commonest trap is the perfect. Pervenit is both present and perfect third singular, since the fourth conjugation perfect here contracts, and only context or a sequence of tenses decides. Beyond travel, news, rumours, inheritances and property all pervenire to someone, and in that sense it becomes the standard verb of medieval charters for an estate passing into new hands.
