Villa, villae, f., first declension. Not a holiday house. A Roman villa is a working agricultural estate with the owner's quarters attached - the villa rustica for the farming and the slaves, the villa urbana for the family when they came out from town - and Cato writes about running one the way you would write about running a business.

Then it shifts. In medieval Latin villa comes to mean the settlement itself, a village or a small town, which is how it produces French ville and Spanish villa. Read it as "farm" in Cicero and as "town" in a charter, and check the century before you commit.
