Write 100 characters about a story

Back to r/WriteStreakCN, and a step up: retell a story you have read in about a hundred characters, and get it corrected.

Choose a story you have read on Kilo Lingo (or anywhere else) and retell it on r/WriteStreakCN in about a hundred characters: who, where, what went wrong, how it ended, and what you thought of it. Type it with the Pinyin keyboard built into your computer or phone (Windows, macOS, iOS and Android all ship one); if you post in pinyin instead, say so and people will still correct it. When the corrections come, rewrite the whole thing once more.

An example you can adapt

I have just read a story. A young man leaves home and goes to Beijing to find work. At first he has no friends and no money, and he is miserable every day. Then he meets an old woman who often buys him dinner and teaches him to speak like a Beijinger. In the end he opens his own little shop in Beijing. I really like the story, because it shows that people caring about each other matters.
