Direct and indirect object pronouns
me, te, lo, la, le - the words that replace 'him', 'her', 'it' and 'to him/her'. Position before the verb.
The short version
Where the object pronoun lives
The default home for an object pronoun is directly in front of the conjugated verb: lo veo, not veo lo. With an infinitive, a gerund or an affirmative command it attaches to the end instead, and a written accent comes with it. Attaching lengthens the word, so the accent pins the stress where it already was.
