Kilo Lingo

Imperfect

Prescribed by the AQA specification.

The short version

Three irregulars in the whole tense

The imperfect is the cleanest tense in Spanish to conjugate. Two ending sets, -aba for -ar verbs and -ía shared by -er and -ir, and exactly three irregular verbs: ser, ir and ver. Tener and hacer look frightening elsewhere and are perfectly regular here. The nosotros accent is compulsory.

Cuando era niño, vivía en Londres.

When I was a child, I lived in London.

That's the gist. The full article goes deeper - more examples, the edge cases, the why - and the practice below scores like a vocabulary session and earns the same XP.
