Ch 6 · Lesson 16

Yesterday, today, tomorrow

Past, present and future in one breath, using tenses you already have.

Why these go together

Good answers move between time frames. Each one pairs a time word with the right verb: preterite for yesterday, present for today, a plus infinitive for tomorrow.

  • .

Yesterday I went to the cinema with my brother.

  • .

Today I'm at home because I'm tired.

  • .

Tomorrow I'm going to play football.

  • .

Last night I watched a really good film.

  • .

    Last week I bought a T-shirt.

  • .

Next year I'm going to travel with my family.

  • .

Now I'm listening to music and later I'm going out.

  • .

This week I left class late.

  • .

Next month I have an exam.

  • .

Tomorrow night I'm going to have dinner in a restaurant.
