Story

La abuela está en la cocina. El niño está con ella. Hoy van a hacer la comida para toda la familia. La abuela quiere hacer la comida con el niño. El niño quiere ayudar mucho.

Grandma is in the kitchen. The boy is with her. Today they are going to make the meal for the whole family. Grandma wants to make the meal with the boy. The boy wants to help a lot.

"¿Me ayudas?" dice la abuela. "Sí," dice el niño. "Quiero ayudar."

"Will you help me?" says Grandma. "Yes," says the boy. "I want to help."

Primero, el niño pone las manos en el agua. La abuela también pone las manos en el agua. Ahora las manos están bien.

First, the boy puts his hands in the water. Grandma also puts her hands in the water. Now their hands are ready.

La abuela le da al niño una cosa pequeña. "Pon esto aquí," dice. El niño lo pone en la mesa. La abuela pone otra cosa. El niño lo mira todo. Quiere saber cómo se hace.

Grandma gives the boy a small thing. "Put this here," she says. The boy puts it on the table. Grandma puts another thing. The boy watches it all. He wants to know how it is done.

El niño pone mucho en la mesa. Un poco de agua va al suelo. "¡Ay, no!" dice el niño. Pero la abuela no está mal. Se alegra. "No es nada," dice. "Así se hace." El niño se alegra también.

La comida ya está. La abuela la pone en la mesa grande. La familia viene. La madre viene. Todos comen juntos.

The meal is ready. Grandma puts it on the big table. The family comes. Mum comes. Everyone eats together.

"La comida está muy buena," dice la madre. El niño mira a la abuela. La abuela mira al niño. Los dos están felices.

"The food is very good," says Mum. The boy looks at Grandma. Grandma looks at the boy. The two of them are happy.

"Hoy hice la comida con la abuela," dice el niño. "La hice bien." La abuela le dice: "Sí. La hiciste muy bien."

"Today I made the meal with Grandma," says the boy. "I made it well." Grandma says to him: "Yes. You made it very well."

Es un buen día. Un día en la cocina, con la abuela, con toda la familia. Es así. Es bueno.
