El vecino nuevo

Story

Hay una casa al lado de la casa de Ana. La casa está sola. Nadie vive allí. Pero hoy llega gente nueva. Es una familia nueva.

There is a house next to Ana's house. The house is empty. Nobody lives there. But today new people arrive. It is a new family.

Ana los mira desde la puerta. Un hombre lleva una caja grande. Una mujer lleva otra caja. Un niño pequeño lleva una caja pequeña. Hay muchas cajas. Son muchas y son grandes.

Ana watches them from the door. A man carries a big box. A woman carries another box. A small boy carries a small box. There are many boxes. There are many, and they are big.

Ana quiere ayudar. Sale de casa. Le dice al hombre: "¡Hola! Yo soy Ana. Vivo aquí, al lado." Al principio el hombre no dice nada. Después dice: "Hola." Es un hombre bueno.

Now the new family is in their house. Ana goes to her house, but she comes back soon. She brings food for everyone. "It is for you," says Ana. "For dinner." The woman is very glad. "How kind you are!" she says. The family eats Ana's food.

They eat together. The boy is called Diego. Ana has a daughter. She is called Lucía. Lucía and Diego talk. Then they play. They play in the house. They play outside, in the street. Now they are friends.

Pasa el tiempo. Cada día, Diego y Lucía juegan juntos. Las dos familias comen juntas. Abren las puertas. Hablan. Se ayudan.

Time passes. Every day, Diego and Lucía play together. The two families eat together. They open their doors. They talk. They help each other.

La casa al lado ya no está sola. Ahora hay gente buena allí. Ana está feliz. La familia nueva está feliz también. Cada día se ven, hablan y se ayudan. Ser amigos así, al lado de casa, es muy bueno.

The house next door is no longer empty. Now there are good people there. Ana is happy. The new family is happy too. Every day they see each other, they talk, and they help each other. To be friends like this, next door, is very good.
