Introducir means to bring something in, to insert it, or to introduce a change, a reform, a new law. It does not mean introducing a person to another person - that is presentar ("Te presento a mi hermana", not "Te introduzco a mi hermana"). The false-friend trap runs the other way for a change: in English "insert" and "introduce" split cleanly, but Spanish covers both with the one verb, so context decides.
