Translation
to broadcast, to transmit
Word origin
Built inside Esperanto from el, 'out of', and sendi, 'to send'. Sendi itself is Germanic, from German senden and English send. Broadcasting is sending out, and the language says so.

- Esperanto

- el + sendi
Examples
.
The radio broadcasts music from the capital.
.
Television broadcast the whole concert to the entire country.
.
They will broadcast the news after dinner.
Decode it and you never have to look it up again. El is out of; sendi is to send; is to send out. That is what a transmitter does, and it is what English says too once you notice that broad-cast was a farming word for scattering seed by the handful.
The noun elsendo is a broadcast or a programme, o the transmitter, and i is the neighbour worth knowing: - means scattering in all directions, so i is to circulate or distribute, more mailing list than radio mast. The prepositional prefixes are the cheapest vocabulary in the language: alsendi (to send to), i (to send back), forsendi (to send away), transsendi (to relay). Learn one verb, get eight.
