The thing sent is the object and the recipient takes , with no way to swap them round the way English can in "send him a letter". Both orders of the two phrases are fine, so and are equally good. The root gives a useful pair of participle nouns: sendinto is the one who sent, the one who was sent, hence an envoy. Forsendi is to send away or dismiss, and means to send for something.
