is for institutions - societies, schools, journals, movements - and by extension for basing an argument on something, which takes . It is not the word for building: that is , and you a house but the association that owns it. The noun fondo is the founding, fondinto the founder, o a foundation in the endowment sense. Do not confuse the root with , the bottom of something, or with , which in Esperanto circles usually means the untouchable 1905 grammar rather than any old base.
