English hides a distinction that Esperanto insists on. is transitive and needs an object: . When the thing starts by itself, you need --: . Write and you have said the meeting is starting something else, and the listener will wait for the rest. The same pattern runs through and , and . Note also i is redundant; - and komenc- are doing the same job.
