Weather verbs in Esperanto take no subject at all: neĝas means it is snowing, and adding is a beginner's calque from English that native-feeling writers avoid. Same for pluvas, ventas, varmas. Handy derivatives: o a snowflake, using the -er- suffix for a single particle of a mass; neĝblanka snow-white; and neĝhomo for a snowman, transparent enough that nobody will blink at it. The ĝ is the soft j of "gem", so this is NEH-jo, not a hard g.
