Word origin
Built inside Esperanto from sia ('one's own'), vico ('a row, a turn') and the -e that turns any root into an adverb. Vico sits with Latin vicem, a turn or a change, which is where English vicissitude and the vice- of vice-president come from.

Vico is a row, a queue or a turn. -e makes it an
adverb. In one's own turn: for one's part, in one's own right, next in the
sequence.
The sibling to hold it against is
laŭvice, and the difference is real. is
according to the turn - it describes a group doing something in rotation, one
after another, and it is about the order of the queue. puts the
spotlight on one participant and says: and this one, when it came round to them,
did such and such. is everybody spoke in rotation. is and then he, for his part, spoke. The first is about the
system; the second is about the person.
The - compound family is small, useful and completely regular.Siatempe is at the time, in its day - siatempe fama means he was
famous back then. Siaflanke is for one's part, on one's own side of the
argument, and it is nearly a synonym for in argument-writing.
Siaspeca is of its own kind, the Esperanto for sui generis. Siaokaze is
where appropriate. And because is genuinely reflexive, all of them shift
person the moment you need them to: miavice is for my part, liavice for his,
niavice for ours. That is not an irregularity, it is the correlative logic of
the language behaving exactly as advertised.
