is intransitive: you succeed, you do not succeed something. The thing you managed goes in as a bare infinitive, , which is how Esperanto says managed to. If you need to name the field rather than the deed, use : ekzameno. The noun sukceso is a success and i is to fail, a word you will meet far more often than you would like.
