qui, quae or quod?
The relative pronoun takes its gender and number from the noun it refers to, and its case from its own clause.
The rule
is masculine (singular or plural), neuter singular, and is feminine singular, feminine plural AND neuter plural. Find the noun the clause describes, check its gender in the dictionary ( is masculine, whatever it looks like), then check the job the pronoun does inside its own clause.
