Suspicio, suspicionis, f., third declension, from suspicor, suspicari, "to suspect", and behind that sub plus specio: looking up at someone from below, which is a fair picture of mistrust. The idiom is "in suspicionem venire", to come under suspicion, with "suspicionem movere" for the other side of it.
The trap is a genuine one and this corpus supplies both halves. There is a verb spelled identically in the first person singular: suspicio, suspicere, suspexi, suspectum, "to look up at, admire, and also to suspect". So a bare suspicio on the page might be a noun meaning mistrust or a verb meaning I look up to. The endings settle it: suspicionis and suspicionem belong to the noun, suspicis and suspicit to the verb.
