旅游车(lǚ yóu chē) - coach in Mandarin

旅游车 (lǚyóuchē) is a "coach", the larger vehicle that ferries a tour group between sights rather than the local city bus. 旅游 (lǚyóu) means "travel, tourism" and 车 (chē) is "vehicle", so it is literally the "tourism vehicle", the one you board with a tour guide holding a little flag.

You will meet it constantly around organised trips: 旅游车司机 (lǚyóuchē sījī) is the "coach driver", and a tour itinerary will often specify 旅游车接送 (lǚyóuchē jiēsòng), "coach pickup and drop-off".

Keep it apart from 公共汽车 (gōnggòng qìchē) on the previous entry, the ordinary city bus you catch on a fixed route with a bus pass. A 旅游车 (lǚyóuchē) is chartered for a specific group and trip, closer to a British "coach" than a "bus".
