One root, two senses that English also happens to share: the leaf on a tree and the sheet in a book. Keep apart from , though, because a is the physical sheet and a is one printed side of it, so a sheet has two pages on it. Foliage as a mass is o with the collective suffix, and senfolia describes a bare winter tree. Note the partitive in , using for a quantity of material rather than , which would suggest the sheet belonged to the paper.
