is the physical seizure, the hand closing on the thing. is neutral taking and is holding on afterwards, so a full sequence runs kapti, teni, lasi. Add - and you sharpen it to a snatch: . The suffix machinery covers the rest of the field without new roots, o for a trap, kaptito for a captive, i for getting caught. Figurative use works too, okazon, but keep it for moments rather than ideas.
