The useful thing about for an English speaker is that it is transitive and takes a plain accusative object: , not "at him". If you want the English shape with a preposition, works for mocking about a topic, but the direct object is the normal build. The root gives moko for a jeer, moka for mocking as an adjective, and a for something that deserves it. Do not confuse it with , which is intransitive - you laugh, , but you mock someone flat out.
