Translation
to laugh
Examples
.
The children laughed loudly in the garden.
!
Do not laugh at me!
.
He laughed until he cried.
.
She laughed and kissed him.
.
Everyone laughed at his joke.
is intransitive, so there is never an object after it. You laugh a thing when you are mocking it and pro a thing when it is the cause, and is simply wrong. The diminutive is the nice bit: , a small laugh, is the word for a smile, which is a more honest etymology than English manages. i makes someone laugh, a is laughable, and o is a roar.
