This is with -ad-, the suffix for an action seen as drawn out or repeated, so is speaking-at-length: a speech, an address, or simply the act of talking on and on. Compare the flat parolo, which is speech as a faculty or a single utterance. The pattern is worth learning as a pattern rather than a word, because -ad- does the same job everywhere: o is reading as an activity, is sustained work, is the business of living. You rather than giving one.
