is intransitive: the thing trembles, nobody trembles it. If you want to make something shake, that is , or i if the shaking is the fine sort this root describes. The cause of the trembling takes pro, so pro timo, pro , pro o. The noun o is a tremor or a shiver, i is the sudden start you give when a door bangs, and i is the small nervous quiver. It is a favourite in the older literature, where characters spend a good deal of their time trembling.
