que or dont?

If the verb underneath wanted de, the pronoun is dont.

The rule

que is the relative pronoun for a plain object: le livre que je lis. dont replaces a phrase that would have needed de: le livre dont je parle, because you parler DE something. Find the de, and you need dont.
