Dedans est un adverbe de lieu signifiant inside, in there. Il s'emploie souvent apres un nom ou une proposition pour indiquer l'interieur. La-dedans (in there) est une forme renforcee. Rentrer dedans peut signifier entrer dans un endroit ou, de facon argotique, foncer sur quelqu'un.
Fourrer le nez dedans (to poke one's nose into it) et se laisser avoir dedans (to be taken in, to be duped) sont des expressions idiomatiques. En dedans (inwardly, on the inside) s'oppose a en dehors (outwardly). Dedans est moins formel que a l'interieur.
