Dos est un nom masculin designant la partie posterieure du corps humain ou animal. Avoir mal au dos (to have back pain) est une plainte tres frequente. Tourner le dos a (to turn one's back on) est une expression figuree qui signifie ignorer ou rejeter.
Dans le dos (in the back, behind) et dans mon dos (behind my back) ont souvent une connotation negative. En avoir plein le dos (to be fed up with it) est une expression familiere. A dos de cheval (on horseback) est une construction prepositionnelle utile.
