OK est un emprunt à l'anglais, universellement compris et très courant dans la langue orale française, y compris dans des contextes semi-professionnels. Il s'écrit indifféremment OK, ok ou parfois okay. Synonyme familier de d'accord et plus court.
Dans les SMS et les messages instantanés, ok ou simplement k est omniprésent. Dans un registre professionnel écrit formel, on lui préférera d'accord, entendu, c'est convenu ou bien reçu. L'adjectif être OK (to be fine/alright) s'est répandu dans la langue courante : tu es OK ? pour demander si quelqu'un va bien.
