Okay est un anglicisme tres repandu en francais parle et ecrit informel, variant libre de ok et d'accord. Il s'emploie pour approuver, confirmer ou rassurer. Dans le registre ecrit formel ou professionnel, on prefere d'accord ou tres bien.
Tout est okay signifie que tout va bien. C'est okay pour toi ? (Is that okay with you?) est une formule de demande d'accord. L'Academie francaise recommande d'accord mais l'usage oral de ok et okay est universellement accepte en France.
