Everyone's destination in life is different.
目的地 (mùdìdì) is the destination, the place you are travelling to. It is built directly from 目的 (mùdì), "purpose, goal", plus 地 (dì), "place, ground", so the compound reads literally as "purpose-place", the place your journey is aimed at.
Three fourth tones in a row make this word land with a flat, clipped rhythm; do not let your pitch drift upward on the middle syllable, a common instinct for English speakers used to sentence-final rising intonation.
Keep 目的地 (mùdìdì) separate from 目的 (mùdì) on its own. 目的 (mùdì) is the abstract "purpose" or "aim" of an action ("what is the purpose of your visit"), while 目的地 (mùdìdì) is always a physical place you are heading towards.
