Open RTVE Play and find a series. El Ministerio del Tiempo is a good first one, though what plays depends on your country, and the international page shows what you can watch. Turn the Spanish subtitles on, watch the first episode (or its first twenty minutes) and write down two lines you understood. Then sum it up in two sentences of Spanish.

Subtitles in the language you are learning are the trick: you read and hear the same words at once, and your ear catches up faster than you expect.
