Ch 22 路 Lesson 19

Giving your opinion

Saying what you think, and asking what they think, without sounding like a textbook.

Why these go together

Spanish speakers give opinions freely and expect yours back, so 驴 ? matters as much as the rest. Watch : think is followed by the indicative, but NOT thinking flips it into the subjunctive you met three chapters ago.

  • .

    I think you are right.

Literally: I believe that you have reason

  • , .

In my opinion, it is too expensive.

  • , .

As I see it, the problem is the price.

Literally: for me, the problem is the price

  • .

It seems like a good idea to me.

  • .

I do not think it is true.

  • 驴 ?

    What do you think?

Literally: you, what do you think
