Conjugating -er verbs
Present-tense conjugation for the verbs you just learned, with a worksheet to drill the endings.
The short version
Learn the odd yo form and the rest follows
The -er class is defined by its first person. A cluster of high-frequency verbs take -go in the yo form and behave normally elsewhere: tengo, pongo, supongo, mantengo. Another takes -zco: conozco, parezco. Both patterns are productive, so a new verb ending in -tener, -poner or -cer will almost certainly follow suit.
