más que or más de?
Put a number after it and the word changes.
The rule
Comparisons take más que: es más alto que yo. But in front of a NUMBER Spanish switches to más de: más de cien personas. Más que cien is not simply wrong, it means something else - more than merely a hundred - so the slip changes your meaning rather than just your grammar.
