éxito, salida or suceso?
Three words that look like English words they have nothing to do with.
The rule
éxito is success, not exit. salida is the exit. suceso is an event or an incident, not a success. The three make a closed trap: an English speaker reaching for exit says éxito, reaching for success says suceso, and is confidently wrong both times.
