Aider est un verbe régulier du premier groupe. Il se construit avec un complément d'objet indirect de personne (aider quelqu'un) et peut être suivi de à + infinitif : aider à résoudre le problème (to help solve the problem). S'aider (to help oneself) et s'entraider (to help each other) sont les formes réciproques.
Aide-moi ! (help me!) est l'impératif familier. Au secours ! est plus urgent pour un danger. Aider à + nom peut signifier to contribute to : ce médicament aide à la récupération. Avec l'aide de (with the help of) et sans aide (without help) sont des constructions fréquentes dans les contextes professionnels et éducatifs.
