Decide est le participe passe de decider (to decide), employe comme adjectif au sens de determined, resolute. Etre decide(e) a + infinitif exprime une resolution ferme. Decider de + infinitif est la construction verbale courante : il a decide de partir (he decided to leave).

Se decider (to make up one's mind) est la forme pronominale : je n'arrive pas a me decider (I can't make up my mind). C'est decide ! (It's decided! That's settled!) cloture une discussion. Decisif / decisive est l'adjectif connexe pour decrire ce qui est crucial.
