Possessives are built with no new vocabulary at all: take the pronoun and add the adjective ending -a, so ni gives nia, exactly as mi gives mia and vi gives via. Being an adjective, it then agrees with whatever it describes: niaj before a plural, nian before an object, niajn before a plural object. Standing alone it also means ours.
