The short version

Comparing nouns needs , comparing verbs does not

.

plus (more)moins (less)autant (as much, as many)What do the colours mean?

With a noun, the marker takes (' before a vowel), and the "as" marker changes from to .

MarkerExampleEnglish
.I have more books than you.
.She has less time than me.
.He has as much money as his brother.

The never changes, whatever the noun: , never . It is the same as in (a lot of time).

Comparing verbs: plus, moins, autant

With a verb, the marker comes after it and stands alone, with no .

  • . - I work more than you.
  • . - She sleeps less than me.
  • . - He eats as much as his brother.
