The days of the week are a small French colony in Esperanto: , , , , , , . Only Sunday hides its origin this well, because French had already worn dies dominicus down to dimanche. Day names are common nouns, not capitalised. The adverb dimanĉe means "on Sundays" as a habit, while the accusative pins down one particular Sunday: is this coming one.
