The last word is the most important one.
covers both English senses, final and most recent, and leaves context to sort them out. The adverb laste means lastly or most recently, and lastatempe is the everyday word for lately. Two traps. First, has nothing to do with , to leave or let, despite looking like its cousin. Second, a date on the last day takes the accusative without a preposition: , the same construction as .
