Translation

road, way; path, route

Examples

.

The road to the town is long.

.

We walked on the old road.

.

He showed me the way.

.

All roads lead to the sea.

.

I lost my way in the forest.

is both the physical road and the abstract way, exactly as in English, so sukceso needs no apology. A is a street with buildings down it; a runs between places. The root earns its keep in compounds: is to travel, survoje means on the way, vojmontrilo is a signpost, and devojiĝi is to stray off course. Note that is the idiom for getting lost - Esperanto puts the loss on the road, not on you.
