Ĝis marks the end point of something, in time or in space, and it takes the plain nominative: ĝis la domo, never ĝis la domon. It doubles as a conjunction in front of a whole clause, as in ĝis mi revenos. Every learner meets it first in ĝis la revido, the standard goodbye, which speakers shorten to a bare ĝis in the way English shortens to "cheers".
