Brazilian and European: what actually differs
This course teaches Brazilian and says so. Here is the pronunciation, the second person and the vocabulary that separate the two.
The short version
The two varieties differ in the mouth
Since the 1990 orthographic agreement the written standards are nearly identical, so a Lisbon newspaper and a Sao Paulo one look like the same language. Spoken, they part company fast: European Portuguese swallows unstressed vowels, which makes it sound faster and more clipped than the Brazilian you are learning here.
