is transitive and takes a plain object with no preposition: . Keep it clear of its neighbours. is obligation, must; necesas is the impersonal it-is-necessary; is wanting rather than needing. Esperanto will let you say , and it is fine, though is usually what you mean. The derived noun is bezono, and laŭbezone - as needed - is a neat little adverb that turns up in instructions and rules.
