That Tuesday, everything went wrong for Pedro. As soon as he got up, he dropped his glass of milk. Then, in the kitchen, a plate broke on him. "What a day," he thought, with a little panic.

When he was about to leave, he realised there was a problem: he had lost his keys. He looked for them everywhere. He also forgot where he had left his phone. Everything was slipping out of his hands.

He went down the stairs in a hurry and, without meaning to, dropped his work papers. He set about picking them up, nervous. At that moment, a button on his shirt broke. Pedro almost burst into tears.

Then his friend Laura arrived. "What's wrong?" she asked. "I've dropped everything, I've lost my keys, my shirt has torn... it's a disaster," said Pedro. Laura made light of it; she came closer to help him.

The two of them started to look together. They helped each other: Laura looked under the sofa and Pedro looked in the kitchen. They talked to each other calmly, without rushing. Little by little, Pedro's panic went away.

In the end, Laura found the keys among the papers. "Here they are!" she said. The two of them looked at each other with a big smile. "Thank goodness we have each other," said Pedro. "We always help each other," Laura replied.

Pedro understood something that morning. When your world comes crashing down on you, the best thing is not to be alone. Good friends support each other, listen to each other and look after one another.

That afternoon, calmer, Pedro and Laura sat down to have a coffee. Nothing was falling now, nothing was breaking. They talked about the strange day, calm at last, and promised to help each other always, whatever happened.
